Bothell Bi-Monthly Update –October 1, 2012
Events in the Bothell area:

University of Washington construction – Week beginning October 1, 2012, there are several building projects being constructed on campus including the Sports and Recreation Complex, the $62 million Science and Academic Building and The Sarah Simonds Green Conservatory.

 There may be periodic one-way traffic routing on 110th and 180th streets for the next several weeks to complete sewer and water connections to existing utilities located under 180th St. Signage will be posted and flaggers will be on-site for alternating lane closures

Beckstrom Cabin and Bothell's First School House are open on Sundays until the end of October from 1-4pm at The Park at Bothell Landing.

Fun stories and songs to keep everyone entertained -  Toddler Story Time – 11:00am - Ages 2 to 3 with adult. Super stories and songs just for toddlers.  Pajamarama Story Times 7:00 PM Ages 3 and older with adult. Stories, songs and romps for the pajama-minded.

October 13, 2012 | 4:00PM-9:00PM Oktoberfest in Bothell at Country Village. Catch the spirit of Oktoberfest in Leavenworth without the long drive. Oktoberfest in Bothell has food, draft beer, local wines, nonalcoholic beverages, live music, and folk dancing to watch and join.  Children 14-6 are half price. Younger children are included with an adult ticket.
 
October 31, 2012 | 4:00PM-6:00PM Trick or Treat at The Village Costume up, and enjoy a fun, family-filled, SAFE Trick or Treating experience! Participating shops will be offering treats to your little ghouls, ghosts, witches and chickens from 4-6pm while supplies last!

September 23 - 2:00 pm George Winston at the The Northshore Performing Arts Center (NPAC) located on the Bothell High School campus - a state-of-the-art 600 seat theatre., George Winston is a solo pianist who plays over 100 concerts a year in America. His concerts feature a variety of styles, including his melodic folk piano, stride piano, New Orleans R&B piano, Vince Guaraldi's "Peanuts" pieces, and more. Adults $35 Seniors $30 Youth under 17 $25

September 1, 2012 | 11:00AM-8:00PM Bothell Blues Festival is an all age music festival featuring a collection of great local blues bands. This is an all-day event that will be a blast for the entire family with food from Bothell's famous Carolina Smoke BBQ and a full beer garden including wine for those over 21. Gates open at 11am, music starts at noon..

September 2, 2012 - 12:00 -3:00PM Fall Car Show at Country Village - The 10th Annual Fall Classic Car Show is free to attend, however, there is a $15.00 car entry fee and pre-registration is encouraged. The first 100 cars entering the show will receive a commemorative dash plaque. There will be prizes and award certificates presented to winning cars as well as trophies for best of show and people’s choice. The show is sponsored by Country Village and the Fly by Night Cruisers..

September 8 - 9, 2012 - 9:30AM 4:00PM at Country VillageTwenty First Annual Koi Show Opening ceremonies at 9:30, followed by judging, an auction at 2 p.m.,  and koi viewing following judging until 4 p.m. The awards banquet begins at 6 p.m.  On Sunday, Sept. 9, koi viewing begins at 10 p.m. and goes until 3 p.m.  The koi auction begins at noon.  The event is free and open to the public. 

September 11, 2012 - 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Main Street - Bothell's Annual Senior Day Celebration  Northshore Senior Center and the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce will honor our seniors. There will be give-a-ways, prizes, discounts, music and entertainment, historical tours and more!
