The annexation that was put before the voters north of the city limits
(referred to as the NEWBA, or North East and West of Bothell

Annexation) on April 17, has failed.  Of the 6,765 voters, 55% said
no, while 45% were in favor.  A lower percentage of the voters had
said no to the annexation in November of last year.  If the proposed
annexation areas in King County go forward it will be by resolution of
Council.  At the moment the issue is not on the projected agenda.
